Noodle Loses Dad

Children’s illustrated book

Join Noodle, a brave little character brought to life by young author Sarah Corbett Lynch, as she embarks on a heartfelt journey through the enchanting Woodland Forest. When tragedy strikes and Noodle loses her beloved companion, Boogawooga, her world is turned upside down. Alongside her loyal brother, Paws, Noodle courageously sets off to Acorn Island, where adventure awaits and lessons about love and resilience unfold.

In this beautifully illustrated tale, young readers will not only follow Noodle's adventures but also explore important themes of loss, grief, and blended families. Through Noodle's experiences, children will learn the value of empathy and compassion—essential qualities that help them understand and support friends who may be facing similar challenges. By witnessing Noodle’s journey, they will discover that it's okay to feel sad and that expressing those feelings is a vital part of healing.

Sarah’s story encourages children to embrace their uniqueness and to recognize that everyone has their own struggles. As Noodle learns to navigate her emotions, young readers will be inspired to develop their own sense of empathy, making them more attuned to the feelings of others. This understanding can create a compassionate community, where children feel empowered to offer comfort and support to friends dealing with loss.

Through Noodle's journey, Sarah Corbett Lynch hopes to instil a sense of hope and resilience, showing that even in the face of grief, it is possible to find joy and connection once again. This enchanting tale is a gentle reminder that we can all help each other heal, one small act of kindness at a time.

Noodle Loses Dad

A great family read to help kids to loss or develop empathy and understanding.

I bought this beautiful book for my kids and they loved it. It opened up some very important conversations between us. After reading and discussing what Sarah has been through in her life and what amazing gift, she is giving to so many other kids, my daughter said that she is a very special girl and I couldn’t agree more…

A very special book!

Absolutely love this book and its author. It is so perfect for a child who is experiencing loss. I believe it helps anyone know that even though they are having hard times they can find hope and happiness again. I used it in my 4-year-old preschool class when one of my students experienced the loss of a grandparent. The children listened so well and it really captured their attention. Even at this young age they really seemed to understand the story and have requested me to read it again several times since. I will be giving this book to other children when I see the need. I am looking forward to other books in The Boogawooga Series.

A heartfelt story of triumph and healing.

After hearing the story of the tragedy in Sarah Corbett Lynch & her brother's young lives, I learned of this wonderful story of dealing with tragedy & the healing they did to overcome their pain. I am recommending this to our school counsellor as a tool to help our children deal with change & pain in the home lives. Many prayers for peace to these two young survivors.

Beautifully illustrated, delicate in its simplicity.

Perfect for dealing with loss, separation, moving & blended families. This tale is ideal for sharing with young children and will bring comfort to adult and child alike. It’s a story of hope. It’s shows even after loss – we are resilient, especially children. We can be happy again without forgetting those we loved & lost. The story is even more touching as it mirrors the young authors own experience of loss & life changes. She is inspirational. I look forward to reading the rest of the Boogawooga series.

Heartbreaking love.

As a grown-up who lost her father - even I needed to read this sweet book. I will be buying another copy to put up in memory of my own father.

Amazing book!

Sarah Corbett is an amazing young lady....and mature far beyond her years. What she has experienced in her young life, no child should have to go through with but she has risen from a tragedy and is striving to help others. Most adults her age would have crumpled but Sarah has an amazing family who have supported her and made sure that she and her brother, Jack are surrounded by love and support. Singing, acting and writing books are Sarah's way to deal with grief and she is doing a tremendous job while striving to help and encourage others. It gives me great joy seeing her thriving in Ireland and I pray that she knows just how many lives she touched during her short time in the United States. Just knowing that this book is written from experience and from her heart makes it a treasure. Thank you, Sarah for being the amazing young lady that you are. Keep reaching for the stars! Thank you for your willingness to share your story for your own healing and to heal others affected by tragedy. God bless you!
