– Sarah Corbett Lynch
Author Sarah Corbett Lynch is an Irish author, advocate, and singer. She became one of Ireland’s youngest award-winning published authors at just 13 years old, receiving a National Garda Youth Award and a nomination for Limerick Person of the Year for her illustrated children’s book, Noodle Loses Dad, which helps children navigate bereavement. The book has since been adopted by children’s rights groups, professionals, counselling services, and schools as a valuable teaching aid. In 2025 she has released the bestselling A Time for Truth, dedicated to those who do not have a voice, solidifying her place as a leading young voice in Irish literature.
Born in Ireland, Sarah’s early life was marked by profound loss. Her mother tragically passed away when Sarah was just twelve weeks old. When she was four, her family moved to the U.S. after her father remarried. In August 2015, Sarah and her older brother Jack were orphaned when their father, Jason Corbett, was killed by their stepmother, Molly Martens, and her father, Tom Martens. Following this tragedy, Sarah and Jack returned to Ireland to be raised by their aunt and uncle, Tracey and Dave. These heartbreaking experiences instilled in Sarah a burning desire to advocate for bereaved children, victims’ rights, and those impacted by violent crime—work she has actively pursued in both Ireland and the U.S.
Sarah’s advocacy has been widely recognized, earning her accolades as an award-winning campaigner for bereaved children and victims’ rights. Her work has been featured on The Late Late Show, Fox 8, The Irish Times, The Irish Independent, and other major media outlets.
Beyond writing and advocacy, Sarah is a talented singer and actor. A native of Limerick now living in County Clare, she is also a qualified swim teacher, lifeguard, commercial and surface-supplied diver, and enjoys cooking, recreational snorkeling and sea swimming.
Now based in County Clare, Sarah continues to write, advocate, and share her creative passions with the world.
